06.11.2008 Salmon catch at the river Weser near Schluesselburg. This is a nice message that obviously salmon are able to reach this point. But there is no idea you much salmon of those you tried to come to this point did not manage to get there.
 
04.11.2008 The final report about downstream migration of salmon smolts and silver eels in the Oker 2004 is now being supplied by the LAVES.

29.10.2008 A try out-study about the catch of adult salmon for a telemtryproject was undertaken in the middel-Weser by the AOLG and the Leine-Lachs association. More about that here .
 
28.10.2008 The north-german country fishing associations have now released their concept for the developement of the AFGN. I got the information by Mr. Bohn the businessmanager, of the LSFV Schleswig-Holstein, the concept you find here (only in german).

14.10.2008 Bad news from the river Weser: the construction works for the new hydropowerstation are on the run, despite waterframework directive and the fishway is out of order. More informationen here and pictures here.




 
14.10.2008 Good news from the river Buenzau (Stoersystem in Schleswig-Holstein) the first willing-to-spwan salmon of the lagan-strain have reached their spawning grounds !

09.10.2008 This years salmon- und seatrout-run in the river  Nister (Siegsystem, Rheinland-Pfalz) is beeing visualized by the SWR (german tv-Station) via three webcams (realizion: agency pixtura). One underwater-cam shows the pothole beneath the wire , one underwater-cam shows the bypass channel and another cam shows the wire from above the water.

15.04.2008 Green light for migrating Fisches at the river  Schunter : The weir-construction at Ochsendorf near Koenigslutter is beeing replaced by  artificial riverbed. The planning is made vy the NLWKN and s the reguest came from the und the watermaintance collective Schunter. The passage is being built by the company "Wasserbau Mittelweser". A further important tesseraon the way to the free passage for fishes.


 
04.04.2008 Ede Brumund-Ruether, for many years the speaker of the workinggroup for the protection of fishspecies and the protection of water in northern germany,  died in the night of the 16.3.to the 17.03.2008 after a hard struggle at the age of 59 - a painful loss in every aspect.

Steffen Zahn of the institute of inland fisheries presents the largest salmon caught since the beginning of the project in the river Stepenitz  (98 cm, 8kg).
